Chicks with Tattoos: Hot or not??
I'm a little bit on the fence when it comes to tattoos on girls.
In my mind I think that I would like to get one, but then I think 'What will it look like when I'm 50?' and then I'm not so keen on the idea!
Here are some of my opinions and some tips if you're thinking about getting a tattoo:
1. Be 100% sure of the design you want to get - tattoos are for life remember!! Make sure it has a special meaning to you, and will still be relevant to you in the years to come.
2. Do your research on tattooists you are thinking about seeing, ask around and get some feedback off people who have gotten work done there. Great tattooists and high quality equipment make such a difference to the outcome of your design!
3. Never ever EVER get your lovers name tattoed on you!!
If things turn sour you will have to fork out big $$ to get it removed or covered over...or just live with it for the rest of your life!
4. Personally I think that women should never have tattoos on their upper arms - I think its just sooooooo tacky and trashy looking!!
5. Say NO to tramp stamps. I think that one of my male friends put it best when he said 'a tramp stamp on a chick is pretty much like a bullseye for a guy'.
I know its not a fair assumption, but girls with tramp stamps do get a reputation for being a bit trashy!
6. Don't go overboard - keep things simple. Less is more when it comes to tattoos, you still want to look like a lady, not a criminal!
7. Be wary of coloured tattoos - Over time coloured tattoo's can lose their impact. I also find that coloured tattoos look quite cheap - Do you agree??
8. Keep your design feminine and appropriate. If you're an 18 year old daddy's girl from the burbs best not get THUG LIFE tattoed across your knuckles! haha :)

9. But sometimes if you have the swagger and the attitude you can throw away the rule book and do whatever you like, just like these ladies:
And while I'm not too sure about getting a tat myself - I do love me some tattoos on guys!!
Do any of my readers have tattoos? And what are you're thoughts on them??
Would love to hear your thoughts!
Much Love xx
