We've often shown off some of the killer Conan-themed art posted t the Covered blog (a blog devoted to artists reinterpreting classic comic book covers in their own style), but there have been a few new ones since we last checked in, so I thought I'd just throw up a quick link to them all. Enjoy!
For your viewing pleasure, here’s a short fan-made Conan comic, Conan, Aço e Fúria (Conan, Steel and Fury), by one César WhiteShark and posted in the forums of the “Conan - O Bárbaro” community on Orkut earlier this year!
Hot off the english translater gizmo thingy…click on images to enlarge!
I told you all a while back about a Red Sonja themed art contest over at the Super Punch blog and the finalists and winners were released. Many of them kick mucho ass and I'm posting a few of my favorites here, along with this stunning custom Sonja action figure...
Spotted this on Flickr and just had to pass it along. Special thanks to creator, Ochre Jelly, for creating something of such epic epicness! Head on over to their Flickr gallery HERE for a bigger view of the barbaric Lego creation along with a couple of other pics.
Crom reader, and digital animator, Jim Drakopoulos, sent me a link this morning of his latest project, in which we see a CGI son of Cimmeria going head to head with a giant snow ape! This is great work and much thanks to Jim for sharing this with us!
Get your 3D glasses ready for the scene at the end!
I love the blog Covered, and their massive collection of re-interpreted classic comic book covers, but I love it even more when the day's feature is a Conan cover! Artist, Dieter Van der Ougstraete, did a brilliantly odd and fascinating version of an international release of Conan de Barbaar with a stunning amount of vision. I tip my spikey, iron hat to him!
I was perusing some Finnish site a while back, and came across a link to a "Lost Conan Adventure"...man was I pumped!! Well, when I followed the link, I discovered just this one page, courtesy of Jouko Ruokosenmäki...CROM damn me for a fool! Oh, hell, here it is (loosely translated into English, because, well, that's just what I do)...
Here's a couple of sweet Conan pieces sent in by CROM! reader, Mike DeStasio, showing what Conan thinks of chains and monkeys! Thanks for sharing, Mike!
