Natalie portman did not want to be a nun in the movie Doubt?

Natalie Portman did not take the part in Doubt not because Portman's Jewish, but because she said she couldn't wrap her head around the celibacy part of being a nun and does not understand it or really agree with it. Amy Adams did the role instead and is now getting rave reviews and has earned a Golden Globe nomination.

Natalie Portman has been chasing Oscar dreams for a while now and this was one of those roles that people say could've been the one for her, but noone really understood her reasons.

Natalie Portman is overrated and one of the most boring actresses. If it was all about the the chastity fact, then I guess she either accept non-vegetarian characters since she is a vegetarian. I mean, it was just a character, Portman didn´t have to act like a real nun in her real life...
