I think one thing we all can help is with clearing myth from American people mind that immigrants are hired on H1-B visa because they work for less $$. When few of my friends were hired to different companies, we all got lot more salary than American hired at same time for 2 reason: MS and education background.
Also, it cost company a lot of money to Sponsor H1-B for its employee. So if immigrant is hired, he/she was the most suitable and required candidate (Atleast at that time).
I think we need to work towards clearing this concept from American people mind for favorable wave for legal immigrants.

1 week after getting approved, I got the card in mail today.
All the work that I put in the last 2 month to get my file picked finally comes to an end here. It's good to see that people are proactively calling USCIS and following up on their cases.
Good luck to all EB2 folks who are current and waiting and to all the EB3 folks, hope you guys become current soon.
Keep the faith...

Today , i called again, IO (Female-Janet), she said ,other officer didnt know what to look for , your application is Preadj. and in line to be assigned to an IO for processing.
I dont know , whom to believe.

I know out of 3000 members, atleast 2500 would be looking at some forums in this site and posting some messages. WHy dont we show some single, double, triple,... up to 5 stars next to the username based on the contributions.

Hello I got a yellow form 221(g) during my interview. Got my passport and approval back during the interview.
Are other people in PIMS getting this yellow form/ 221(g) stating that "when administrative processing is completed in your case we will contact you"?
This will allow me to decide if I am stuck in PIMS or something else.
We did not get any yellow slip. We were told that we will get VISAs within a week. But we are still waiting to get them.

All that was asked - was to write to the Radio station using their website. Who asked anyone to picket?!!! Re-read my post. I asked members to call up and ask hard questions challenging his credibility. We have nothing to lose by doing so. If we make him fumble, he stands to lose a good following.
I'm part of that 10% that you're speaking about. Are you? Have you joined your state chapter? Did you march in DC? Are you a regular contributor?
What's wrong in using Gandhi's name? Are you allergic to the great man?
Any day a Gandhi quote is better than the - 'This can't be done. That can't be done. It's all in vain' statements, which are highly negative, demoralising and triter than the usage of Gandhi. At least Gandhi quotations are positive and uplifting. And we need that here to balance the pile of the negative statements that get posted.
It's a promise. Until you guys don't get tired of posting your negative and demoralizing posts, we won't be tired of invoking the Great man's name. We know it's vain to invoke Gandhi to you guys. But still hoping against odds that it may affect you in a positive way. :)
Well then why dont you picket against NumbersUSA, programmers guild et al too, i can name 20 conservative radio shows try emailing/talking them to change their opinion. I say this because i have emailed to a few and even tho they understand my point of view they will not change something that gets them ratings and propagates their cause.
IV has 25k members, i guess 10% out of those are really motivated to participate and ready do something, if you start diverting your resources towards such issues your team will not have much motivation or people remaining when you really need them to do something. IMO

Now that USCIS / DOS know that they have made mistake and also aware that this is exposed to the entire country. So this is what they are doing.
1. Keep all the applications pending so that AILF could not start the lawsuit. ALIF needs rejection proof.
Incorrect.
2. Updated their site stating the receipt notice will be sent after Aug 1st, So everyone keeps quiet till this date.
How does it matter?
3. I beleive, the Judge will rule out by July 29 saying that itis fault of DOS / USCIS and say they have to accept all the applications which are filed in July leaving the applicants only two days to file.
Highly unlikely. The lawsuit could take one and half year (or more).
Even if judge rules on July 29th, usually a reasonable time is given. How did you come up with 2 days.
4. No one can argue that all the ELIGIBLE applicants should be allowed to file. The reason is NOT all the eligible applicants filed in June. Also if you feel that you are eligible for July, then you should have prepared all your application papers ready by July 29. If you cannot file, you are out.
I feel, this is what is going to happen. So better prepare your papers and keep it ready.
The big question is, how you define "ELIGIBLE applicants"?
Any lawsuit needs lot of time and patience. And none of emotions.

Though your case is weak(in my personal opinion because you seem to have entered US uninvited), A complaint against the employer may unravel some strong cases when the investigation happens.
This is from my experience:
Few years ago, some one complained against our employer about back wages and we all benefited from it. Our employer had to pay the wages for the vacations that we took (supposedly paid vacation) which they would not have paid, if the investigation had not occurred.
Though your case is weak(in my personal opinion because you seem to have entered US uninvited), A complaint against the employer may unravel some strong cases when the investigation happens.
