Conan (the Adventurer) TV Series - The Heart of the Elephant!
No, not exactly a review, more like nonsensical ramblings, hitting the highlights so to speak as I took in the opening two episodes of the Conan: the Adventurer!
Early on in part one, we get a glimpse of a couple of incredibly hot gals (servant types), the one on the left being none other than Cindy Margolis! Whoo Hoo! And that outfit…ghak! No idea who that is standing next to her, but we’d make a delightful trio of adventurers (email me you two, we’ll talk).

Ralf Moeller as Conan
The leading lady, actress Kimberly Kelley, tackles the role of Conan’s love interest (Tamira) quite nicely. She’s a real charmer, so imagine my dismay when she gets killed off near the end. I was going to give you a spoiler alert on that, but it’s fantasy, so there’s nothing stopping her from being ressurected if need be…so chill! Besides, if you really want to familiarize yourself with Kimberly’s body of work, you need to check out Midnight Tease 2!!
And what do we have here…ha.ha.ha…seriously, Ralf is not “that” tall, so that would put his face about…ummm…
Conan in Tamira’s shagging shack
The “Thing In The Crypt” scene was quite stirring. I admit I was on the edge of my seat as Conan approached the long dead chieftain. Sure the “thing” looked more like an Alien (think Sigourney Weaver) than what I would have expected, but creepy nonetheless. That is, until it comes to life…holy Harryhausen! Ok, moving on then…
Thing in Crypt – “touch me Conan, toouuccchhh meeeee....”
Wait! Is that a Klingon guarding the tower (of the Elephant)? If so, how frigging awesome is that! You just can’t go wrong with Klingons, anytime, anywhere.
Klingon?
Once Conan loses all the sidekicks, awesomeness ensues. The battle with the spider was freaky cool, and Yag-kosha was a pleasant surprise…both stirred up memories of Howard's classic tale (and the “inspiration” for these two episodes), The Tower of the Elephant!
The one sentence summary: I’d have to say that these two episodes reminded me of Conan the Destroyer, only better!
