Rodney Buchemi!

Here are a few of my favorites from Brazilian artist Rodney Buchemi – what a FANTASTIC artist! He should be working for Dark Horse or Dynamite or both. Be sure and check out all of his cool Conan creations on deviantArt, and if you like what you see, throw a compliment his way (and buy him a virtual doughnut!)

My introduction to Rodney's artwork was the Conan comic Natala, A Escrava ("Natala, the Slave"), written by Osvaldo Magalhães and drawn by Rodney Buchemi, which was posted in Portuguese here. I "loosely" translated it into English a while back, and here it is for your viewing pleasure...

Later I discovered that Sword Studio's Carlos Yáñez and friends had reworked Rodney's original story and created the Spanish Conan comic Natala!...same artwork as before, , but in glorious color! Once again, I’ve loosely translated it into English for those of us who “No hablo español”.

if you STILL haven't done so, check out all 26 of the Sword Studio comics translated into English, via Rapidshare or Megaupload!

This post originally aired on the soon to be defunct REH Illustrated.
