As ndialani mentioned, just google "cis ombudsman form dhs-7001". Print out the .pdf file, fill it in & enclose all other supporting documents. In the form, it says - you can use extra sheet to put the details of your case. I put this letter that had all my case details (this is the letter I used for everyone after that).
For Napolitano, did you not get the sample letter from me? I have sent it to around 50 odd people and counting .... It has everything, address and whatever else is required. You can just make changes to put your details in.

I totally agree. They want to issue visas to all of them in a year... They will have more RFEs for legals than illgeal so people should work towards their temporary permnanent residency that is Z

I think USCIS must meet the EB convertors somewhere mid-way to maintain fairness.
About gctest, what has pissed me off so consistently is his trash-talk, calling EB3 third grade workers, his utterly self-centered attitude and inability to see other side of the story. Over and above that he is a lying, cheating bastard who changes his story all the time.

EB3-I processing is stalled, especially after USCIS opened the floodgates and let everyone inside one time.
Folks who were waiting patiently had their clocks turned backwards and pushed at the end? Classic case of starvation.
Upshot - some with older EB3 PDs have ported their dates, after qualifying for senior positions based on their academic credentials and job experience and getting jobs under EB2.
Which is why see an odd 2002 EB2 PD suddenly appearing from nowhere and getting ahead of you.
How many are actually converting?

That EB3 people should not be made to start from scratch all over again, however they should also not be given the advantage of a loophole in the system. We all knew the evil of LC sub and this is something similar to it.

There will always be condescending comments made by people on the other side of the tracks. Ignore and focus on what needs to be done would be my advice as everything somebody who is not a decision maker in the path to immigration is inconsequential.

They are busy doing some thing to achieve something. Most of lazy people who can not work hard and are not determined to achieve any thing will be reading your question and will be voting NO.

I would like to share my experience and it may help some people here.
My H1 was sponsored by company A when I was working with them on OPT. I paid $3000 for H1 filing and attorney fees and company A gave me the H1 approval notice only after I signed an agreement that I would work for atleast one year with them.
Afetr 1 month of my H1 approval, I got a better job offer from company B and I got the H1 transferred. I notified my client and company A who threatened to revoke my H1, take me to court etc etc. They also withheld 4 weeks of my pay.
After joining company B, I filed a complaint against company A with DOL that they withheld my salary and also they demanded H1 fees from me. After 2 weeks of that complaint, my salary was deposited into my account and DOL was looking into my complaint about H1 fees. This case finally got resolved last week after about 18 months, when DOL finally persuaded company A to pay $3000 back to me.
I would request everyone who is a victim of these blood sucking employers to
take every possible action against them. There's a very little chance that they would go to court because they are themselves involved in gross irregularities.

I am 50% done with an MBA from a top 18 school. Unless you are planning to start a career in financing or economics, *I seriously* doubt that rankings would make a lot of difference. For people in IT wanting to move to a CTO/CIO position, I cannot see how rankings would make a significant difference. Instead of spending the money and resources to go to a top school, I'd prefer to invest in certifications such as CISSP, management certifications, etc and then take a degree in a less known school would be totally OK. I agree that by going to a reputable school, you may meet people there that can help you get positions in the future. So far I've got an invitation to work for classmate's team, thanks to the connection I've made at the MBA.
For those of with you without true passion for management and soft skills, you might want to consider a MSIS or MSIM instead. Those degrees usually are less expensive and less time consuming to achieve. I started the MBA planning that I would be a great CIO. After taking many courses at my MBA, I decided that the last thing I want is to be a CIO; CIO's are about people, executive management and I learned that's not where my passion is.
Can anyone provide some useful insight based on personal experienceas to how valuable is Part Time MBA for oppurtunities in India?
I am IT professional with lot of experience and currently pursuing Part time MBA from a business school which is ranked in top 25 and not in top 10.
The way I see it that it will take me around 4 years to complete it and I have to invest atleast $30,000 even if I get employer to pay a part of it.

As you are aware there is alot going on right now. The administration is talking about CIR.
Lots of bills with small provisions get talked up or introduced. In fact that happens every year if you look back. We keep an eye on what's moving and where the effort is needed. We do not want to waste our resources and effort if something may end up simply being a placeholder or a position statement.
In a nutshell, there will be fax campaign when we are advised (by lawmakers, lobbyists and friendly advocacy groups among others) and we determine that it is needed and will be effective.
Thanks for the response Paskal. However I still do not underststand why IV is not encouraging everyone to send faxes and register their support via the AILA site. As I have understood AILA has been a leader in this effort for immigration {see July 2007}. If you are trying to say that the interests of AILA and IV are not exactly the same - that is to be expected - no 2 organizations can ever be the same - BUT - surely we can come together to form and pursue some strategic interests. I see that with regard to these bills IV and AILA interests meet. Further if readers @ IV send messages via AILA Action Alert then IV resources can be saved to follow the path that you have described above.
Finally, the bill may be a placeholder or position statement, but in the end we need to demonstrate the numbers - highlighting this bill may eventually lead to some worthwhile convergence in the CIR - I think no opportunity need be lost in this process and the more we highlight our position and condition the more visibility we get.

my I-485 was pending from 2001 and then my case was transfered to NBC I had an interview and then I got the I-797 Welcome Notice welcoming me as a permanent resident of the United States and it said on the notice you will get your green card in the mail in about 3 weeks and then checked my online status it said we ordered the card for production
ok at this point everything is looking good
and then after 5 days check my status online
found the following :

I received the exact same Email notice from USCIS as you on Sept. 28, 2007. I'm confused! I got my H1B 7th year extention approved in Feb. 2006. What happened to this case?
What are your priority dates? They may now be working on your GC application.
