I was able to change my address online before they passed this law in TX (I'm not aware that a judge blocked it...), now it would not let me change my address online. Anyone from TX, were you able to change you adress/renew your licence online?

This is simply ridiculous. They have taken some things out of context from the CIR to come up with these few paragraphs in this statement. Things like illegals being required to play only 3 year back taxes etc. Its so obvious that it is plain politics.
Also, CIR is not for open borders. They care about national security as well. The House republicans call for Border security first is totally impractical ... It is much more practical to handle the Security in parallel with taking care of other Immigration matters. In fact addressing larger immigration issues like having a good guest worker program may take away the need for lots of un-necessary patroling along the borders.
There is a reason why CIR is called Comprehensive Immigration Reform. The Senators are much more sensible.
Also, where is the President's and the Senators voice in all this. All we are hearing is from the vocal House republicans Hestert, Bohener etc ...

Can you still port your priority date (Sep-02) after 140 got denied?

Primary applicant CAN use Spouse's country of chargeability to file I-485. OP can file I-485 when his EB-3 PD will be current for EB-3 ROW, after getting married ofcourse.

these I-140 based employer switching seem to be tricky these days. yes you are right - many people want to do it and will want to do in the near future. even after reading so may posts and peoples experiance - each individual case can be different in many ways. since you are dealing with attorney's on both ends ( which is a good thing ), the best bet is to clarify with them to see which best works for you and how to get it done and post your experiance too for others in this forum.
why do we pay them for. feel free to ask all sort of questions you may have and get it clarified.

Problem is that every government document we get in India don�t follow strict rule of full legal name. so in birth certificate full name would be RatanKumar Madan lal Sharma but in Passport Full name would be �Ratan Kumar Madan Lal Sharma� (space in between).We also did not realize this while we were in India.
Most of the document we get in USA do not follow strict rule either.
Driver�s license uses FirstName. LastName (Ratan Sharma).
Social Security � FirstName MiddleInitial LastName (Ratan M Sharma)
EAD � LastName, FirstName. MiddleInitial. (Sharma, Ratan M.)
All receipts we get from USCIS use Firstname.middleintial.lastname(Ratan M.Sharma) or sometime just FirstName.LastName.
The best way I could think is to remove Kumar and Lal from all documents from India which sure going to take long time and effort. Not sure if it�s advisable after filing I-485.

�If any high skilled foreign worker legally entered or admitted to USA, continuously stayed in USA for more than five years, and maintained valid legal status during the stay and obtained Legal Permanent Resident status during that 5 years period, may eligible to file a naturalization to become a US citizen�
EAD,GC,Citizenship all in one package.. three birds in one shot.. I am all for it..any other takers?

It is only going to go forward when you calculate the pending cased from May thru December of 2006, it is around 13,600, so it should not retrogress and may move forward? By how much? I am not sure, but it will definitely not retrogress!

Does any one have any good experience buying gold bullion? Did you buy physical gold or did you buy the virtual gold (like the one Canadian mint allows).
I am looking for any tips and advise from the experts.

In Short-term there is demand for Gold. However once confidence returns in equity markets, I see Gold going back to under 1000$.

Ijndhhal sorry to be blunt but grow up men. I m from mumbai too and that also pedder road and i luv oklahoma . I habve been here for last 6 years and love everything here unless and until u like to live in places like ny. Im sorry but the standard of living her ein oklahoma is far far far more better for the money spent as compared to bombay or ny. N u here to wrk and earn a better life rite. If luv bombay so much u should have gone back yaar. Oklahoma is great and very close to dallas texas. There are also a lot of desi gujju community here and we do have cricket teams too .
