I work as a dentist in a company which was held in partnership by 2 partners.I have a approved H1b and my I 140 is filed.Now as of Oct 01 the orriginal company is finished as the partners have seperated.I am confused about my case, if I have to file a new H1b and 140 or an ammendment or just nothing.The tax id number for the company has changed.As for me my work location has not changed and I still work in the same position.Can I take paychecks from the new company which now belongs to one of the partners or do I need to inform immigration.Any advice is appriciated.

"Plan, direct, or coordinate activities of electronic data processing and information systems projects at financial services companies; use of sound knowledge of accounting principles, and the financial markets (including investment products); analysis and reporting of financial data."
I have been offered a job from a prominent Financial Services firm for the position of a Sr. Business Analyst with salary slightly more than what was mentioned in the labor and the job description as follows:
"Analyzing, Planning and coordinating activities of information systems projects in the investment technology area."
Can some experts please share their opinion if I can take it.
Job description looks "similar" to me. Titles may not matter. Though first title is more about "Directing" and second one is about "Coordinating and planning" What about job codes? . No large gap between salaries so you will be fine there as well. As long as Job codes are similar you will certainly be fine.

such admin posers should be banned but why are u posting such political opinions anyways this is not a forum to discuss politics it is to discuss immigration policy issues and problems.
even if u remain anonymous your comments will be posted on a public forum which is created for a certain purpose and you might undermine its effort.
i think it is time to recognize that being such a small minority with above average economic status every single of us is representing the whole community. both parties agree on immigration reform which will help us. the only major opposition to our cause is from few groups posing to represent american technology professionals. whether ur ideaology is liberal or conservative is of no importance to immigration matters.
i see lot of posts of all kinds even for ICICI bank!! but political comments are a PR nightmare.

Nobody lost or won any arguments. we just abused and mocked each other and made complete fool of ourselves without focussing on IV's real agenda. Its dangerous that some members here seem to want to harm IV efforts by claiming to represent a particular group of applicants but actually are trying to fuel unneccessary arguments that is making the entire community look bad.
It will be nice if our members stop spending their entire day on this forum fighting anonymously and learn from the 150 folks who attended meetings on capitol hill on behalf of all of us to get real relief from the backlogs (i was priveleged to be one of those advocacy participants). And to think we asked staffers to come and visit this site only to see posts like the one below?
Bringing each other down will only cause ALL of us to go down fast.
We have Anti Porters (TonyHK) going around giving reds to all, especially other EB3 with whom he lost arguments about porting. What is surprising is that reds were given to even EB2 who congratulated. Sad !!!

Like I said, in our case EAD has something to do with entering the US. We won't have H1 stamp or revalidation so my husband will be using EAD to be able to work for his company.
cheg please read subbu's post carefully. EAD has nothing to do with entering the US. To enter the US, you either need an H1B stamp or AP. Even if you enter on AP, you can still use your H1B to work in the US. However, once you use your EAD to work, your H1B becomes invalid and the next time you enter, you HAVE to use your AP.

I don't understand .. why are you panicking ? I thought you have I130 approved .. ? if you have that then u should be able to file for I485, is itn't it ? and if you file I485 then you can stay and you don't need the other forms .. if the other forms got denied then u can use ur I131 with I485 to stay.

Thanks for replying back. I will provide additional information. I am a Canadian Citizen, currently residing in Canada. Based on my marraige to a US citizen my I-130 was approved in Dec 2005. My immigrant visa interview was in August 2006. At the time of the interview I was informed that I needed to file I-601 and I-212 waivers. The reason was due to overstay in the US for more then 180 days. I actually came to the US as a minor. My parents never left after the visa expired and I also became out of status. Since I was dependent on my parents I did not leave and after turning 25, I left the US on my own for Canada, hence the 10 year bar. During their stay in the US my parents had filed for asylum which was denied and a deporatation order was issued. In any case, I left the US in Sept 2000 on my own (self deported).
Now getting back to my waiver....as stated earlier my I-212 and I-601 waivers were approved on Feb 23, 2009. I got an e-mail from CRIS and the USCIS website also reflected the same message. On Feb 24 i was denied. I have posted both the approval and the denial e-mail for the I-601 below. I hope this is a clerical error but as mentioned above i would not know until I get the actual letter in the mail. Please let me know if someone has been in the same boat.

Ok, I will pardon your ignorance. You are given DL which will be valid till the day your EAD or H1 expires. In my case both are expiring in Oct. If I have get my DL renewed I have to renew my H1 or EAD first.
You must renew H1b or ead .. So u will be paying for ur status not DL....
