The Model Files: Down Under Stunners!

I've decided to do some posts about my favourite models :)

There are a lot of amazing models out there who don't get the credit they deserve, so for my first post I'm starting with models from Australia!

First up:

Bambi Northwood-Blyth

Bambi is an up and coming model who reminds me of a young Brook Shields with those amazing eyes and eyebrows! She had a great breakout year, appearing in fashion shows by Valentino, Balenciaga, Chanel, Altuzarra and Giambattista Valli. Busy girl!

Samantha Harris

Samantha Harris is one of the first Aboriginal models to come out of Australia and she is definitely turning heads! She has had a huge year, she covered Vogue Australia and appeared in a shoot for luxe brand Miu Miu - I hope 2011 is even better for her! :)

Catherine McNeil

 

Catherine McNeil's star has skyrocketed over the last few years. She has appeared in advertising for D & G and Versace, covered Vogue issues all over the globe and has appeared in runway shows for Dior, Louis Vuitton, Balenciaga and YSL, just to name a few!

Abbey Lee Kershaw

Abbey Lee is one of the biggest names in modelling at the moment. This girl has nearly done it all - walked the runway for nearly all of the big fashion houses, covered DOZENS of magazines, featured in the coveted Victoria's Secret Fashion Show and has graced the exclusive Pirelli calender two years in a row, all by the age of 23!

Gemma Ward

I miss Gemma Ward. In 2008 she was listed as being in the top 10 earning models in the world and seemingly had the world at her feet. Then she was gone! We haven't seen her on the catwalk for a while now - she hasn't confirmed her retirement so hopefully we will see her strutting her stuff again soon!

Jessica Hart

Jess Hart is a bombshell! Best known for her gorgeous gap-tooth smile, this girl oozes sex appeal and style. She is the face (and body!) of Aussie swimwear brand Seafolly and has gained a huge following via her great blog which she updates often with photos of her modelling adventures.
