I've already signed up for monthly contribution...and sent LogicLife's mail as a wake up call for all the fence sitters and freeloaders.
I can relate with anurakt's feelings...it's amazing how penny wise pound foolish people can get!
Come on guys, I have introduced at least 8 friends to IV and (almost) forced then to contribute :) Let's all get 2-3 members and persuade them to contribute.

As per my knowledge even if you use H1 you still needap to travel out of US
Please check with your immigration attroney as they know it better but here are few things i heard:
EAD+AP:
after 6 mths of I-485 filing, shifting jobs would be easy with EAD. costly because of yearly renewal but worth based on your situation. i prefer renewing this EAD+AP, even in H1 so that you can shift jobs when you got the oppurtunity because EAD takes 3-4 mths approval time and you can travel using AP like H1 when you dont have H1 stamping. Even if you have H1stamping but if you use EAD/AP while entering US then you are no longer in H1 unless you go out and come back with H1.
Cons: Fees is increased by 60-80% this yr for EAD+AP, so costly. Also if for any reason anyone's I-485 is denied then the period he/she used EAD will be out-of-status so applying I-485 again wont be easy with "out-of-status" but still possible, check with your attroney.
Note: But couple of my friends changed jobs using EAD+AP and got GC without any issue. so it depends case to case and your application and how USCIS process it.

Having 8 post or 800 should not count for seniority. we should be able to ask ourselves how much productive contribution we have towards this forum instead of how much contribution we have to this forum. QUALITY is what that matters more than QUANTITY.

So, I fail to understand as anybody else, the logic here, why they moved EB2 faster , and why they did not move EB3 ..

Honestly I don't even see a point for these discussions, polls or predictions for EB3-I. The sooner we accept we are doomed the better. The only way out is to help ourselves but I don't think many EB3's are willing to do that.
I spoke to several in my office with earlier EB3 PD's (who might not even get GC's in the next 5-10 years !) and of course with EAD's and they have literally substituted EAD for a GC. They were once a part of IV (and some similar org's ?!) but now have completely lost hope and don't care. I had called them last week and was told the ususal spiel about my processing time not being current. But the lady also slipped with some piece of info that I did not have before: The processing dates are updated every 2 weeks....we do not see that online. While I am not sure that is true, I still figured hey let's call again and see. So yesterday the guy on the phone told me that I am outside their processing times and that he will put in a service request to make sure they will take care of my application....and my RD is July 2nd.....so their might be some truth about them internally updating processing times.....maybe

Atleast now start thinking about Citizenship. For getting the GC, there are lot of hurdles. Most of us are living in this country for more than a decade and still our status is "Alien". We are legally here paying lot of Tax, Social Security , Medicare Tax etc.,
Please go through my thread on Citizenship and start working on that. Instead of wasting our time on GC, let us make an important Agenda and express our views on the path to Citizenship, so that Congress will think about it.

Just received Card production e-mail for me and wife. Had pretty tough time last few weeks thinking what could have gone wrong as my PD is MAY 15 with everything clear. After waiting a while, 3/4 days ago I had infopass and went to Congressman for help.
Though we are happy but can feel how tough it is to wait and wait....but I assure you all will get it soon, but take action as your intution says as you KNOW YOUR CASE BETTER THAN OTHERS. So take help if you think there is no question of RFE or delay is longer than ususal. Thank you IV and all members. I will contribute, as many of you did after getting it, and stay in touch with forums for anything I can be of assistance.
